Family of SIX & First Time At The Ryman
I think most have heard by now that we will become a family of SIX at the end of April! We are excited, especially the boys, but this pregnancy has totally stunk so far. I have felt awful for 7 weeks now. I keep thinking any day now I’ll start to feel better. I’m still doing my best to cook dinner, but I feel the absolute worst around 5:00. My food aversions are many and cooking/eating beef or chicken really makes my stomach turn. Almost everything I cook these days involves bacon/pasta. We’re ordering lots of pizza and Ian and I consume lots of Taco Bell bean burritos. Hoping to get back to posting recipes soon.
Brian and I finally went to The Ryman. We saw one of my most favorite bands – The Lumineers on Saturday night. We had no idea what to expect and I was totally blown away! There are big name concerts it seems almost every night here, but we’ve been holding out for The Ryman. I wasn’t feeling wonderful, but it was by far one of the best nights I’ve ever had. The entire show was well over 3 hours, which is a long time to sit on church pews. I still loved every minute although Brian probably thought it was a little long. He didn’t really get into Dr Dog, one of the opening bands. While The Lumineers played, no one sat down for even a minute. The Ryman only seats about 2ooo, although it feels like a much smaller crowd. It’s a very intimate setting that’s completely about the music instead of a big production.
Anyway it’s was an amazing experience and if you ever come to Nashville, I highly recommend it. Stubborn Love is my favorite song. Here is what it was like for us.
